My artwork represents the process of translation—transforming my richly woven emotional Ukrainian cultural background into the visual representations of my life in Sweden. The vibrant, bold colors and elaborate storytelling from my Ukrainian heritage serve as the foundation of my artwork; however, the Swedish landscape has introduced me to the strength of space, light, and quietness.
My paintings are based on finding harmony between the two worlds. Each piece I create serves as an exploration of the intersection of memory and present time; therefore, I create pieces that have energy while being rooted at the same time.
